To See 'The Three'
© 1974 William C. Highsmith

Time did begin, and man was formed
from dust by God's own Word;
then sinful will in him was borne
the Holy Plan disturbed.

My Lord came from His Throne above
to die on Calvary's tree.
He shed His blood because of love;
now I from death am free.

A constant faith, unyielding hope
as on I go my way;
my soul, beyond this earthly scope,
up-lifts it's voice to pray.

To work throughout this meager life,
my one desire would be;
I shall endure, what ere' the strife,
someday to see "The Three".
