LIGHT OF THE WORLD AGLOW
© 1983 William C. Highsmith

How wonderful is Our Redeemer,
who died to set us free.
Old death could not contain Him
for He had the victory.
He is now the King of Glory,
reigning from a golden throne.
I thank you so dear Jesus
for my many sins atoned.
I thank you so dear Jesus
for my many sins atoned.

The Lord is my great salvation.
I put my trust in Him.
He is my place of refuge
when all hopes on earth are dimmed.
I'm sure some day He'll call me;
my sins are made white as snow.
I'll then see my blessed Jesus
and loved ones of long ago.
I'll then see my blessed Jesus
and loved ones of long ago.

While living in this vale of shadows,
my Savior's by my side.
I need not fear or tremble
for I know He will abide.
His rod and His staff protect me.
I'm covered by his blood I know.
I'm talking about my Jesus,
the Light of the world aglow.
I'm talking about my Jesus,
the Light of the world aglow.
